Lessons Luxury Launch

I recently received a beautiful embossed invitation in the mail, inviting me to the launch of the Luxury division at the Lessons store on Wellington St in Perth City. Of course, I said yes, how exciting!

Friday evening was dedicated to the launch. We lined up outside the store, our names checked off the door list at the black carpet entry. We walked inside, greeted with blackcurrant and activated charcoal cocktails and champagne to accompany us on our sneak peek around the store’s newest collections. The wooden floors were awash with white paint, mirroring the walls and ceiling. At the furthest end of the store a small diagonal section was completely black - floor, walls and ceiling, separating it from the white area with a high curtain of small chains.

Clothes racks were black and placed around the edges of the room, a large concrete table in the centre for accessories and a black cage at the front window of the store - creating a small section separated from the rest of the room. I loved the store layout, it felt interesting and like I could walk through a number of different spaces under the same roof - I could experience the different designers in different surroundings.

It was a wonderful night to showcase the AW18 collections of Acne, Balmain, Marni, Neil Barrett and Versace among 200 very cool looking Perth people. There were definitely some amazing outfits getting about! The evening was a great opportunity to glance at these collections before anyone else and to experience them in Perth for the first time, the designers available at Lessons haven't been accessible locally in Western Australia before!
